What happens at a dermatology consultation

A first consultation is mostly conversation. We ask about how long the concern has been present, what you have already tried, how your skin reacted and what matters most to you.
Examination follows, sometimes with magnification or trichoscopy for hair and scalp concerns. Photography may be suggested, always with your consent, so that change can be compared objectively later.
You should leave with a clear explanation of what is happening, what we would suggest, what we would advise against, and when to come back.
Bring your current products and any previous prescriptions. It genuinely shortens the path to a plan that works.
